Hardwood Flooring Installation in Boise -Hardwood Floor Cleaning – Hardwood Floor Refinishing

I am a professional house cleaner. Recently Joe Wallace and I have shared some of the same clients. This has given me the opportunity to see much of his work. Some times when cleaning floors we are down on our hands and knees to make sure we get the detail done. When you’re that close to a floor, typically you’ll see imperfections the installer did not attend to. This is not the case when we are looking close up at Joe’s work. He is a perfectionist, not in an idealistic sense. He makes sure he leaves as close to perfect a finished floor as possible. We’ve seen him blend a new wood section in with existing wood. The blend was so perfect, you could not tell which was which. In short, I recommend Joe Wallace without reservation, for any hardwood flooring project you’re considering, You’ll love the results.

Joe and his crew added oak floors to our home and finished and stained all of the floors to a more modern color. Joe is a perfectionist and came back several times to make it just perfect without me even asking. We are so happy with the results and the prices are very fair!!

Always a concern when you hire a craftsman to do a project for you. I looked around a bunch and hired Joe based on a referral from a person I trusted. Couldn’t be happier with the work Joe and his crew did for us. Were there when they said they would be. It took as long as they said it would take. It cost what they said it would cost. And the results were better than I ever thought they could be. Would hire him again in a second and recommend Classic Hardwood floors without reservation. Top Notch

I reached out to Joe based on a referral from a friend. I let him know with almost no notice, that I was moving into a new place and had a tight schedule. Joe worked through the holiday weekend to fit in my project to help me meet my move in date. Add to it that the floors look incredible and you’ve got one really happy customer.

Joe and his crew are the best in Boise at refinishing hardwood floors. This is the third house Classic Hardwood Floors has done for me and I am extremely pleased with the results. They are fast, courteous and professional. They were also able to perfectly match the stain of our hardwood floors to our wood ceiling. I would highly recommend Classic Hardwood Floors to anyone looking for exceptional service.

Joe and his crew did a great job refinishing and staining our floors through out our home. Classic Hardwood floors re-floored our kitchen and stained and finished the floor to match the rest of our home. Joe worked within a limited time frame during a large remodel and I would recommend Classic Hardwood Floors to anyone wanting great customer service and a quality job.

Joe came and redid the hardwood floors in our new rental that hadn’t been redone in 20+ years. What a great job, no mess whatsoever. It completely changes the look of the place and at a very reasonable price. I’m delighted to recommend him.

Joe, Mike and Bryce were very professional and fast. My new floors look amazing. I would use the company again in an instant. A+

Classic recovered my new plank flooring from a job that was so botched that I thought it would have to be torn out. Turned out beautiful and Joe is definitely a professional with respect to product knowledge and customer service. Classic will show up as scheduled and the craftsmanship will make you smile.

Classic Hardwood installed and finished hardwood in my living, dining, kitchen, entry, and hallways. The product and workmanship was excellent. Joe gave me a bid when they started and when they were the bill had not varied. I would recommend this company to anyone.

Installed my floor over 11+ years ago and it still looks great. It’s easy to give a review on product/work after a few month or couple of years but the true test is over the long run. The other important item to me is does the company deliver service afterwards. With Classic Hardwoods they do. 3 times over the life of the floor I’ve called and asked for help or repairs. *** Wallace has been there to repair the floor timely and properly. I highly recommend Classic Hardwoods.

QUOTE EXPERIENCE Joe was on-time for the free estimate. He was pleasant and friendly. He asked enough questions to understand the work that needed to be done. He discussed options with me. He provided a written quote prior to leaving my home. Afterwards, I emailed follow-up questions to him, and he responded by calling me with answers. He also followed-up with me a few days later to see if I had other questions. He provided references when I requested them. His price was competitive. WORK EXPERIENCE Joe, Bryce, and Mike were on-time. Joe reviewed the work with Bryce and Mike, and then Joe left. Joe returned to the job site to check on progress. They removed a 14×14 foot living room area that was carpeted and replaced it with hardwood. The area surrounding the living room was already hardwood, but there was a beveled edge where the hardwood met the carpet, and they removed the beveled boards so that the new hardwood would be flush with the existing hardwood. Bryce and Mike were respectful (friendly, no profanity, no loud music, they were careful with my stuff). Both men did an excellent job: They removed baseboards where needed, they cut existing baseboards and wood molding with clean edges and precision, they blended the new hardwood with the existing hardwood, and they left the job site orderly and clean each day. They installed the hardwood around the fireplace, leaving an adequate gap for grout (the area around the fireplace is slate/stone tile). Most of the work took place the first day (removing carpet, removing/cutting baseboards and molding, installing new hardwood, sanding, applying wood filler). On the second day, they sanded and applied the first water-based finish. The third day involved applying the second water-based finish. On the fourth day, they replaced the baseboards. Prior to the job, we agreed that I would caulk and apply touch-up paint to the baseboards…which was a fairly easy task (mostly caulking, very little painting since they were careful with the boards). I also took care of the grout around the fireplace. Regarding payment… Joe asked for half of the amount on the first day when he dropped-off the boards and his men started work. The final half of the payment was due when the work was completed. There is some variation between the existing hardwood (7 years old) and the new hardwood; both are white oak #2. But that variation is to be expected (i.e., not the same lot of wood, finishing was a different product, and age). In the future, when I have all the hardwood flooring refinished, then there will likely be no variation. The finishing sheen (flat/matte) matches between the new and existing hardwood. The bottom line… IT LOOKS GREAT, the price was competitive, and Joe and his team were pleasant to work with. In the future, when it comes time to have my hardwood floors refinished, I will definitely consider Classic Hardwood Floors.

My 9-year old hickory floors were quite worn due to age and pets. One floorboard had a crack in it because of water damage. Joe and his crew did a great job of refinishing the floor. They were prompt and very professional. All of my questions and concerns were addressed when they came out to give me a quote. Now my floors look like they did when my house was new (maybe even better)! The new Bona finish lets the beauty of the natural wood shine through and with a water/vinegar/Dawn mixture recommended for cleaning, what could be easier?
